Custom fields
Add your own fields to every contract, for the things your finance process needs that Resubly does not ship by default.
Custom fields let you record what your process needs, for example a cost centre code, a purchase order number, or the internal approver. A field you define appears on every contract.
Field types
- Text. Free entry, for codes and references.
- Number. For quantities and internal amounts.
- Date. For dates outside the contract term, such as an internal review date.
- Select. A fixed list of options you define, which keeps entries consistent.
Prefer Select over Text wherever the answer comes from a known list. Free text drifts, and drifted values cannot be grouped or filtered reliably.
Where they appear
Custom fields show as an extra section when adding a subscription and when editing one, and they can be marked required so a contract cannot be saved without them.
