Import contracts from a CSV
Bring an existing renewal spreadsheet into Resubly: up to 500 rows, mapped column by column, in whichever date format you use.
If your subscriptions already live in a spreadsheet, import it rather than retyping. Resubly reads your column headers, guesses what each one means, and lets you correct anything it got wrong before a single record is created.
Start from the template, or use your own file
You do not have to reshape your spreadsheet to match ours. Resubly reads whatever column headers you already have. The template is there for convenience if you are starting from scratch, or if you would rather see the expected shape first.
- Download the CSV import template. It has the ten columns Resubly understands plus three example rows. The same file is available in the app, from Download CSV template on the Add Subscription screen.
- Or export what you already have. Save as CSV, with a header row plus at least one data row.
- Up to 500 rows per import. Split larger files and run them one after another.
- One subscription per row.
Map the columns
Resubly matches your headers against keywords and pre-selects a target field for each column. Check every mapping, then correct any that are wrong and set unwanted columns to ignored. The fields you can map to are:
- Subscription name, and Vendor.
- Cost or value, and Currency. Supported currencies are USD, EUR, GBP, ZAR, AUD, and CAD.
- Start date, and Renewal or end date.
- Payment frequency, and Term type.
- Owner email, and Department.
- Notice period in days.
Set the date format
Dates are ambiguous across regions, so pick the format your file uses: day first (31/12/2026), month first (12/31/2026), or year first (2026-12-31). Resubly inspects your date column and suggests one, but confirm it. Getting this wrong silently shifts every renewal date.
Owners
Owner emails are matched against your existing team members. Any that do not match are reported once the import finishes, so you can invite those people and assign the contracts afterwards.
