Organization settings and deletion
Change your organization name and billing address, and understand exactly what happens if you schedule the organization for deletion.
Organization settings apply to everyone in your account, unlike your profile which is personal to you.
Organization details
- Organization name. Appears throughout the app and on the invitations you send.
- Billing address. Street, city, state or province, postal code, and country. This is the address printed on your invoices.
Deleting the organization
Deletion lives in the danger zone at the bottom of organization settings. It is owner-only, and you have to type the organization name to confirm, so it cannot happen by a stray click.
What happens the moment you schedule it:
- A 30 day countdown starts. Nothing is deleted until it ends.
- The organization goes read-only. Your data is all still there to read and export, but it cannot be changed.
- Every non-owner team member is disabled immediately, and any pending invitations are cancelled.
- You are asked for a reason. It is optional detail, and it is the most useful thing you can leave us.
Your paid subscription is cancelled with the payment provider before anything is purged, and the purge is deliberately held back until that cancellation is confirmed. You will not be left paying for an organization that no longer exists.
